2010 Election Priorities: what the next state government can do to reduce the impact of cancer
36,000 South Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the next state election at a cost of $1.5b. What will the next state government do to reduce this?
One in two South Australians will experience cancer in their lifetime by the age of 85; people you know, someone in your family.
Cancer Council SA launched its 2010 Election Priorities on 24 November. The 12 identified priorities will contribute greatly to helping SA get cancer control under control, and go a long way toward making SA the healthiest state.
In the lead up to the election, we will be meeting with candidates to discuss the priorities for cancer control facing the next state government. If you would like find out more about the Election Priorities, contact the Advocacy and Policy Adviser at aminges@cancersa.org.au
