Cancer Council South
Australia is the state’s leading non-Government cancer control organisation.
We do not receive government
funding an rely on the generosity of the South Australian public to fund
research, education and support services to prevent cancer and to assist those
affected by cancer.
Current fundraising events
include; Relay for Life, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day, Race
for Life, Pink Ribbon Day and Girls Night In.
Donations go directly towards
research, education and support services including each year:
Cancer Council Helpline 13 11 20
Cancer Council Helpline provides invaluable
assistance to about 8,000 people
each year.
This is done via the
telephone, written correspondence, face-to-face visits and via Cancer
Council South Australia’s website (www.cancersa.org.au)
Cancer Council Helpline is a service offering
cancer-related information and support to all South Australians.
Cancer Council Helpline is confidential and
staffed by people with extensive training and experience in the various aspects
of cancer.
The experiences of those
touched by cancer vary and Cancer Council Helpline is able to provide credible, professional and
web-based information and advice on a range of services and programs from Cancer Council South Australia to help them.
Cancer Council Helpline is open from 8.30 an
to 8 pm Monday to Friday in South Australia.
